ABOUT THE BONUS RACING SCHEME

During the 2005/06 season of racing, the HROA began running it's highly successful Bonus Racing Scheme. Since its inception, the amount of bonus races has continued to increase, a trend the HROA intends to maintain.

When you become a member of the HROA/MHRC, your horses automatically become eligible to win prizemoney bonuses at selected meetings throughout the season.

With the support of many generous clubs throughout the state, the HROA & MHRC are able to offer owners a chance to win a $1500 bonus if their horse wins a Bonus Race.

The HROA and the MHRC each provide $500 of the bonus, which is kindly matched by the host club totalling $1,500.

Last season the HROA offered $90,000 in bonuses, and in the season 2008/09 the joint venture of HROA/MHRC is offering over $120,000 in bonuses to owners.
*** CONDITIONS FOR THE BONUS RACES ***
To be eligible for HROA/MHRC Bonus Races, the following conditions apply:

To be eligible for the $1,500 bonus you must be a paid up Member of the HROA/MHRC prior to the meeting.

Partnerships of individual Owners of 2 or less must all be paid up Members of the HROA/MHRC.

Partnerships of individual Owners of 3 or more must have at least 2 individual Owners as paid up Members of the HROA/MHRC.

Syndicates must be registered with HRV. If a syndicate races a horse in partnership with individual Owners, the conditions of 2 or less, or 3 or more apply i.e. (RACING SYNDICATE, B. SMITH, A. JONES, C. FOX) 2 of the 4 listed owners must be paid up Members for eligibility of the HROA/MHRC Bonus.

Payment of the HROA/MHRC Bonus will be made by the HROA/MHRC after swabs have been cleared by Harness Racing Victoria. |
